Trek's Calypso is a great all-around cruiser you'll ride every chance you get. It has sensible features that make it versatile enough for simply enjoying leisurely rides to running errands around town, or even commuting to work and back. You'll love the lightweight aluminum cruiser-style frame, the shock absorbing fat tires, and the cushy seat and spacious handlebars for relaxed comfort. Plus, it sports an easy-shifting 7-speed drivetrain for help on the hills. And, the Calypso comes with quality wheels and powerful linear-pull brakes, too.

[...]. The bike and the 19'' frame is perfect for me (5' 10" 265). I ride it every day and love it. The build and style encourage slow leasurely riding. Best money I've spent lately. Cheers!!!
Awesome! First I would like to say that this bike attracts attention, at least in my 'hood (in Brooklyn). I'm constantly reminded by the old school heads that this bike was from their time. It's a classic. One guy said, "That's a classic, are you giving it away, Christmas is around the corner you know" (we're in May). I like being unique, so the color of my bike is matte gold. So as far as the design and look of the bike, I'm satisfied. It rides smooth especially when you shift gears. My chain never fell off, thank God, and I'm hoping it stay that way. I honestly haven't ridden a bike in over seven years, so, so far so good. Riding a bike in Brooklyn alongside traffic can be stressful at times, but just be patient; I'm not even going to mention Manhattan. Over all, this bike is awesome. Oh, almost forgot to mention that the people at Bicycle Habitat were helpful, thanks.
I ride my Calypso to work, about a 7 mile round trip, when weather is good. I ride bike paths and streets. On weekends I will ride to local sites for photo opportunities. I am a Photographer and with my Calypso I can get in to spots where a car can't go and it is easier to park. I get a kick out of the stares from other bikers. It's like "Look at that old guy on that Retro bike" but when parked they come over and comment on how nice it looks and check out the features.
